Codru Natural Reservation

Codru forest, the most known in Moldova, is situated in the center of the country to the northwest of Chisinau. It was founded in 1971 and occupies an area of 5,177 ha. The forest is made up of valleys and ravines at one point reaching 380 meters.

Padurea Domneasca (Royal Forest) Natural Reservation

The Padurea Domneasca (Royal Forest) Natural Reservation is the largest in Moldova, covering an area of 6,032 ha. It was founded in 1993. It is located in Glodeni along a stretch of land that borders the Prut River on the border with Romania.

Prutul De Jos (Lower Prut) Natural Reservation

The Prutul de Jos (Lower Prut) Natural Reservation is located in southern Moldova between the Prut River and Slobozia Mare village, south of Cahul. It covers 1,691 ha, which includes 312 ha of forest and Lake Beleu (10 km2).
